School Board to look at Baseball/Softball Complex Renovations at Weston High

Is Weston High School in line for renovations to their baseball and softball complexes? It certainly looks so, as one of the items on the agenda of the Jackson Parish School Board is related to such a move.

Board members, Gerry Mims, Rick Barlow, Paulette Henderson, Dennis Clary, Calvin Waggoner, Mary Saulters and Wade McBride wil hold their regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 11:00 am on Monday, November 6th. The session will take place in the conference room at the Jackson Parish School District Central Office, located at 315 Pershing Hwy in Jonesboro.

As stated on the published agenda is: Consider adopting the resolution granting Superintendent David Claxton permission to sign the State of Louisiana Cooperative Endeavor Agreement for Act 397 (Weston High School Baseball and Softball Complex Renovations) for and on behalf of the Jackson Parish School Board.

An additional action expected to be taken involves the Village of Hodge purchasing a tract of property, that is generally described as the old Hodge School grounds, from the Jackson Parish School Board. Items recommended to be approved by the Executive/Finance Committee will also be considered.

In accordance with the Americans Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance, please contact David Claxton at 318-259-4456 describing the assistance that is necessary.
