It looks like Jonesboro-Hodge will be playing in Class A for the next two years, dropping down from Class AA where they have resided since 2020. In years past JHHS has always been on the “bubble” between Class AA and Class A, usually falling within 10 or fewer students from the “cut number”. This year, JHHS reported having 211 students, well below the dividing mark of 241 and one of the smallest numbers ever reported for the school.
According to the initial District Plan for 2024-26, JHHS will compete in District 1-1A against Arcadia, Cedar Creek, Glenbrook Academy, Haynesville, Lincoln Prep and Plain Dealing.
The final district plan will be ratified in the February meetings of the LHSAA.
