Shirts that were funded by the Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary School Wrap Around Initiative via the Reimagine Grant through the Louisiana Department of Education, were distributed to the administration, faculty, staff, and students at Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary School this past Friday. 

The Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary School Faculty and Staff proudly strive to implement a “whole-child” approach, by connecting its students and families with critical resources that address their social-emotional, physical, and academic needs.

As previously reported, the school was awarded a competitive grant by the Louisiana Department of Education that has allowed for the funding of additional positions and programs including but not limited to—School Counselor, Math Interventionist, Art and Music Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, on-site food pantry and clothing closet, Miles for Smiles Mobile Dental Clinic, Saturday Schools, Field Trips, Team Building T-shirts, and so much more!

The people and program services are vital to the success of our students and community and are a testament to our most recent SPS increase, attendance increase, and parental engagement increase. All of this contributes to more positive, academic, social-emotional, and life outcomes for students. 

J-HES Recognizes National School Counselor Week

The Jonesboro-Hodge Faculty and Staff recognize that school counselors are the center of the problem-solving process and help safeguard the mental and emotional well-being of students and parents alike. We are proud to celebrate Mrs. Rachelle Mason and Mrs. Tristen Bergholtz for their important roles within the school system. Their duties include but are not limited to— removing barriers to academic success, teaching classroom lessons, helping students see things in new ways and develop interests, problem-solving, listening, and most of all, caring!
