
The Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary School’s Wraparound Program and Jonesboro-Hodge High School’s Student Council joined forces again to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week.
Student council members spoke with J-HES students about the importance of community helpers such as medical professionals, emergency responders, grocery store workers, sanitation workers, farmers, and more.
All J-HES students then created thank you notes for Jackson Parish community helpers which will be delivered by the J-HHS Student Council members.

J-HES Recognizes National SRO Day
National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day was celebrated on February 15th. In observance, Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary School recognized and honored school resource officer (SRO) Deputy Cole.
“J-HES is beyond thankful for Deputy Cole! He is truly a valuable and essential member of our Tiger family,” said J-HES Principal Danielle Copeland.
The SRO program was created to provide on premises police services to public and private schools and enhance the security of students and staff.
SRO’s :
•Are carefully selected, specifically trained law enforcement officers
•Provide safe learning environments
•Serve as educators ex: D.A.R.E.
•Serve as an informal counselor/mentor
