The Village of Chatham will be asking the Jackson Parish Police Jury for their assistance in filling potholes on the streets inside corporate limits. The decision was made by Village council members during their regularly scheduled monthly meeting held on Tuesday, March 16th in the Conference Room of the Chatham Town Hall. 

In additional action, council members Toni Malone, Mike Wilson, Sue Proffer and Bernadean James approved accepting the minutes of the February meeting, pay the monthly bills and accept the financial statements as presented. Laverne Mixon was absent. 

Two Resolutions were also adopted. 

Resolution 2024– 02: a resolution authorizing the Village of Chatham to state their intention to maintain permit requirements as set forth by the national pollutant discharge elimination system to prevent wastewater permit violations and other matters with respect thereto.

Resolution 2024-03: a resolution to declare certain property owned by the Village of Chatham to be surplus to the Village’s needs and other related matters.
