J-H Middle School pays tribute to School Resource Officer, Roger Curry

On behalf of Jonesboro-Hodge Middle School, we would like to take a moment to extend our deepest gratitude to our School Resource Officer (SRO) Roger Curry. Here at JHMS, Officer Curry, plays an invaluable role in safeguarding our school and nurturing a secure environment for our students to thrive.

He is more than just an officer.

He’s a mentor, an ally, and a trusted member of our educational community. His commitment to the safety and well-being of our students is unwavering, and his presence offers reassurance to both students and staff alike.

Every day, Officer Curry demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and vigilance in his duties. He works tirelessly to prevent potential threats, diffuse conflicts, and build positive relationships with students.

Beyond his role in law enforcement, he serves as a positive role model, offering guidance, words of wisdom, taking time out to play with students in P.E., and even giving concession money to support those students in need.

As we celebrate faculty and staff regularly at JHMS, let us take a moment to express our sincere appreciation for the selfless service of our very own, Officer Curry. His unwavering commitment to protecting our schools and nurturing our students is truly commendable and deserving of recognition.

So, to our School Resource Officer, Roger Curry and other SRO’s in the Jackson Parish School District, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your tireless efforts, your unwavering dedication, and your profound impact on our students and our community. You are the guardians of safety and support, and we are grateful for all that you do. Thank you for your service.

  1. Congratulations, Roger! He was one of my most favorite students ever at Jasper-Henderson Elementary. A joy to teach and I’m not a bit surprised that he’s turned out to be a wonderful man and such a positive role model for the kids today!
