
Senior Ian Tilley went 2/3 with a double, scored one and drove in one

Ian Tilley closed out his final home district contest of his career by getting two hits in three at bats, including a double, while also scoring a run and knocking one in to pace Quitman to a 7-1 district 1B victory over Doyline.
The victory improved the Wolverines to 3-2 in district play and jumped their season record to 13-8. More importantly QHS moved to #4 in the Division V power ranking among “non-select” schools. Doyline fell to 2-3 in district and 10-10 overall.
John Raegan Hasley also hit a double and scored a run and both Braden Hobbs and Maddox Duck scored a run and had an RBI. Kace West and Riley Duck scored and Pete Simonelli knocked a run in. Logan Ponder pitched a complete game three hitter, striking out nine and not allowing an earned run to earn the victory.
