Hayden Davis / Maddox Duck finish 2nd in NELAHS final point standings

Hayden Davis and Maddox Duck caught four fish for a total of 9.45 lbs, including a 4.20 lunker, which was the second largest bass caught on the day, to finish in fourth place of the NELAHS Tournament on Lake Bruin of the day this past Saturday. The tournament was the final of the season on the Northeast Louisiana High School Anglers Tour that ran from September 16, 2023 – April 20, 2024. 

By virtue of the their finish the pair representing Quitman High School ended up in second place in the final NELAHS Anglers Tour point standings, just 4 1/2 points behind first place Zachary McMillan and Ethan Thrash. 

Landin Chatham of Weston High and his partner Hunter VanBuren ended the season in 5th place overall after coming in 12th place at Lake Buren with a 3 fish stringer that weighed 7.10 lbs. 

Brody Halbrook and Brendan Newton of Gracepoint Christian Academy in Jonesboro finished in 17th overall in the senior division and third in the NELAHS Jr. Anglers championship series. Jake Vail and Waylon Sullivan of Quitman came in 5th place and Andrew Brown and Cason Rogers came in 10th in the junior series as well. 

Hailey Chatham of Weston took the honors as highest ranked female on the NELAHS tour as she and her partner Ben Ramsey ended the year in 18th place after placing 19th at Lake Bruin.
