Thanks to the collaborative efforts between the Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District (JPASD) and Caldwell Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO), and through grant funding provided by SAMSHA, a significant step forward in the battle against the Opioid Epidemic has been taken.
“We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve provided CPSO with the life-saving medication Narcan to be placed in deputies’ vehicles. This means the heroic officers are now equipped to respond swiftly and effectively to Opioid-related emergencies, potentially saving lives within the community they serve,” said JPASD Director Aaron Johnson. “This achievement is a testament to what can be accomplished through teamwork and proactive measures. Together, we’re making a difference and helping to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens. Let’s continue working together to combat this crisis and support those in need.”
