Background Music

A tip of the hat to composers…

Most of us pay little attention to music playing in the background of our favorite movies and television programs. Music really does make a difference. My husband I watch a lot of classic westerns and have noticed that early western movies had little to no music. Due to the absence, I find it hard to follow the story and easily lose interest.

Mood music isn’t only for romantic candlelight dinners; it’s essential in our movies too. The volume and pace pick up in action, chase and cliffhanger scenes. In contrast, it might decrease and get slower in conversations. I follow the plot and characters until the end and rolling of credits on the screen.

I give part of the credit to manuscript and musical score.

God is Creator; He gave us the beginning Word in the manuscript behind creation.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being (John 1:1-3 NASB).”

God turned up the volume!
