Emma Kate McBride has been chosen as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NCJAA) Academic All-American. The 2023 Weston High School graduate, who now plays for South Arkansas Community College in Eldorado, AR, earned second team Academic All-American status after compiling a 3.90 grade point average during her freshman year. 

McBride played in 18 games for “SouthArk” ending her first season as a collegiate player averaging 4.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists. In the second to the last contest of the season, McBride scored a season high 14 points lending to promise of a successful sophomore season ahead.
