On Monday, July 22nd, Jo Ann Deal with the Better Business Bureau out of Monroe announced a major data breach that could affect over 500 million people. In an interview aired on Good Morning ArkLaMiss, Deal said that hackers had gotten personal information through Ticketmaster and that even people who had never used the site may have had their information stolen.  Deal says you should go to the BBB’s website to see the report of Ticketmaster or its parent company Live Nation.

Deal says when your information has been taken by hackers, it is important to check your credit because you may need to freeze it or issue a fraud alert.
