Jackson Parish 4-H Appreciative of Support Given for ATV Safety Day

An ATV Safety Day was held at the Jackson Parish Recreation Department Sports Complex on Saturday, July 20th and the host, Jackson Parish 4-H wants to thank all those who participated in helping make the event a great success.

A special thanks to all of the students who participated in our ATV Safety Day. These students had the opportunity to learn safe operating techniques for driving ATVs, First Aide, CPR, Stop the Bleed techniques, and to learn about the inside of an ambulance. The intention of this program is to not only provide youth with the tools to be safe operators but also to know how to respond in the case of an accident. These youth spent the day with ATV Safety Institute trained instructors, Deputy Audi, Mrs Donice with Stop the Bleed, the families behind CRM Safety, the Jackson Parish Ambulance Service, and Louisiana 4-H agents. Every participant was able to take home their own riding helmet after practicing the safe techniques they were taught. Thank you to all who helped support this program: CRM Safety, Sheriff Andy Brown, Jonesboro State Bank, Jackson Parish Ambulance Service, and the Jackson Parish Recreation Department. – Jackson Parish 4-H
