Jackson Parish Sports Hall of Fame sets 2024 Induction Banquet Date

At their regularly scheduled monthly meeting held on Thursday, July 25th, the Jackson Parish Sports Hall of Fame (JPSHOF) Board made final arrangements for the Class of 2024 Induction Banquet. The date and location selected for the enshrinement of the new, six-member class is Saturday, October 5th at the Family Center of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Being inducted into the JPSHOF year is Ricky Johnson, Ladell Farley and Shane Holder representing Jonesboro-Hodge High School, Ricky McBride of Weston High School, Pamela (Johnson) McConnell from Chatham High School, and Jared Stevenson of Quitman High School. 

Additional recognition will be given to the 2023-24 male and female Athlete of the Year from JHHS, QHS and WHS and the awarding of the meritorious service award which this year will be presented to long time Jackson Parish Chamber of Commerce Director, Wilda Smith. 

The entry fee for individuals will be $25.00 each. Tables that will seat 8 people are also available at a cost of $225.00. Tables for family members of the inductees and high school award winners will be $200.00 each.
