Forest Haven Residents add to “Jackson” the Parish Snake

“Jackson” as he is fondly called, is one snake that nobody in the area minds getting longer. Matter of fact it is becoming the “in thing” to help extend the it’s length by adding painted rocks to it. Located at the Deacon’s of Defense Park and Civil Rights Trail in Jonesboro, the new community mascot has grown to now include over 1000 rocks with more being added daily.

The residents of Forest Haven Nursing Home got into the act this past week as individuals painted rocks during activity time and then ventured to the park to place them along the trail.
