Hallie Kate Pullig introduced herself to the state this past spring when the 8th grader was named the Most Valuable Player in the LHSAA Division V state championship game where she played an instrumental role in leading Quitman High School to their first ever state softball title.
Her tremendous athletic ability has now helped her summer league team, LA Fury Platinum reach great heights as well. Playing against top competition from all over the nation, Pullig has paced the club to the Elite 8 in the prestigious Alliance Fastpitch 14U Championship being played in Chino, CA.
LA Fury, made up of top 14U girls from all over the state, earned the right to move forward in the tournament by winning the Region 9 bracket. The feat was all the more impressive considering LA Fury lost their first game and then came back to win five straight including winning twice in the bracket championship games over the team that beat them in their tourney opener.
