Jackson Parish School Board Makes Arrangements for 2024-25 School Year

The Jackson Parish School Board held a Special Called meeting and their regularly scheduled monthly session on Monday, August 5th in the conference room of the Jackson Parish School District Central Office.

In attendance were board members Dennis Clary, Gerry Mims, Rick Barlow, Paulette Belton, Calvin Waggoner (President), Mary Saulters and Wade McBride along with JPSD Superintendent David Claxton.  

The dual session began with the Special Called meeting where the panel handled the only item on the agenda which was the opening and review of the 2024-2025 General Fund and Special Revenue Budgets. 

This was followed by the regularly scheduled monthly meeting for August where a plethora of arrangements and purchases were approved in preperation for the upcoming school year and revisions to several policies were agreed upon.
