United Way to host FREE Borrowing and Debt Repayment Workshop

MONROE, La. – United Way of Northeast Louisiana will host a FREE Bank On Northeast Louisiana Borrowing and Debt Repayment Workshop on Thursday, September 19 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Miller Roy Building in Monroe. There will also be a Zoom option available.

The Borrowing and Debt Repayment Workshop will focus on the different loan and borrowing options, strategies for how to best manage debt, and tackling debt repayment.

Bank On Northeast Louisiana (Bank On NELA) is a coalition of local partnerships between financial institutions, community organizations and city/state/federal government agencies that work to improve the financial stability of the unbanked and underbanked residents of our communities.

The objective of Bank On NELA is to improve financial stability by connecting residents to safe and affordable mainstream accounts in banks and credit unions, raising public awareness of these efforts and opportunities, and expanding access to financial education and other financial empowerment opportunities.

The Borrowing and Debt Repayment workshop will be held at the Miller Roy Building, located at 1001 Desiard Street in Monroe, on September 19 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. There will also be a Zoom option available. Register at unitedwaynela.org/bankon-nela or dial 211 to sign up.
