Sheri (Woods) Norred
June 29, 1947 – October 10, 2024

Sheri Diane (Woods) Norred, age 77 of Jonesboro, Louisiana was called to her Heavenly home on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Ms. Sheri was born in Jonesboro to Oscar and Fannie “Shorty” Woods on June 29, 1947. She graduated from Jonesboro-Hodge High School and went on to attend LA Tech and received her master’s degree in library science. Ms. Sheri enjoyed reading, getting her nails done and eating Mexican food with family and friends. She enjoyed talking and would carry on a conversation with anyone who would listen. She loved to travel and was your “Let’s Go” girl if anyone wanted to go somewhere. Her family was her whole heart and she was lovingly called “She-She” by her grandchildren. She was known as one of the “Golden Girls” by her friends.

Ms. Sheri is survived by her two sons, Jason Norred and Kristi, Stephen Norred and Tracie; grandchildren, Skylar Norred, Elizabeth Norred, Ethan Norred and Kaylee Norred; sister, Glenda (Woods) Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Franklin and Fannie Maude (Jordan) “Shorty” Woods.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Garden of Memories Cemetery with Bro. Randy Dark officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Norred, Stephen Norred, Ethan Norred and Joey Horsley. Dusty Jordan will be an honorary pallbearer.
