Dakota Knox named Impact Player of the Week by K104 Radio Scoreboard Show

It was Senior Night this past Friday night at Jonesboro-Hodge High School but it was a junior that stole the show. And what a show it was.

JHHS scored with 30 seconds remaining in the game and then converted a two point conversion to rally past favored Glenbrook 30-29 for a district 1-1A victory in what was the final regular season home game for the Tigers.

Leading the charge was quarterback Dakota Knox, who turned in one of the more memorable performances in Tiger gridiron history. Knox passed for 224 yards and two touchdowns while also adding 116 yards on the ground and two more scores. He also accounted for three 2-point conversions, two on the ground and another through the air.

As result Knox has been chosen as the Impact Player of the Week Award winner given weekly to the top performer in northeast Louisiana by K104 FM Radio and the hosts of their Friday Night Scoreboard Show.

With JHHS head coach Terrance Blankenship alongside, Knox was presented the prestigious award in the main office at JHHS on Tuesday by former JHHS head coach and current K104 Scoreboard Show commentator Joey Pender.

“Very happy for Dakota on being selected for this award,” said Blankenship. “He is a great leader for us and no doubt his play made a huge impact on the game.”
