On Monday, November 18th, a locally historic occasion will take place at Quitman High School when Cali Deal and Hayden Davis will make official their choices of where they will continue their athletic career in college. The “Signing Day” event where both will ink scholarship papers is scheduled to begin at 10:00 in the QHS gymnasium.

Both signings mark a historic occasion. When Deal signs scholarship papers to play softball for LSU she will become the first female athlete from Jackson Parish to sign with the state school.

Davis will also be making history when he signs with LSU-Shreveport as he will be the first from Jackson Parish to ever sign a scholarship to compete in fishing for a university.
