Meet the Staff at Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home

Tommy Sharplin – Funeral Assistant

Hi, my name is Tommy Sharplin. I have worked for Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home for nearly 3 years now. As a funeral assistant, I have many responsibilities such as helping prepare someone for their funeral, making sure details for funerals are completed, and assisting with funerals and gravesides.

Like my colleagues, I am committed to treating each family with kindness, respect, and dignity. I also help in picking up at the time of death. This is something I take very seriously and I am honored to play a role ensuring that each individual is handled with the utmost care and respect.

Outside of work, my family is my greatest source of joy. I am a proud Father to two wonderful children, Victoria and Grace. Victoria and her husband, Caleb, blessed me with my first grandchild, Isaac. My daughter, Grace, is currently serving in the National Guard and I am grateful for her selfless service to our country.

Working at the funeral home has taught me the importance of compassion, empathy, and kindness. I work with some fantastic people and they have become like a second family to me. This is a rewarding career and it reminds me, almost daily, of the help that I can be to others and I am grateful for this opportunity to serve my community.
