Don’t remember the names of the Seven Dwarfs?

If not, don’t feel bad; I didn’t either. A quick search revealed Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy and Dopey. Which name best describes you? I’m not happy-go lucky. Praise God; He wants all of His children happy-go blessed!

What does happiness mean to you? We each have an opportunity for self-examination. Simply end the phrase.

First let’s see how happiness is defined in a dictionary.

Happy/Happiness: 1. lucky; fortunate. 2. Having or showing great pleasure or joy; glad. 3. Suitable and clever; apt: as a happy suggestion.” (Webster’s New World Dictionary/1971 Edition)

Do all the dictionary definitions line up with your idea of happiness? To me, #1 is only half right. I don’t believe in luck or coincidence; I do believe I’m fortunate to have been blessed by God in so many ways.

Happy are the blessed.
