
Acting on Phase One of the Lakeshore Drive Project, getting full appraisals for a pair of Police Jury properties and considering the work to be done on the Southeast Hodge and Bear Creek Water System is on the table when the Jackson Parish Police Jury meets this Monday, March 10th. The public is invited to attend.
Jury members Todd Culpepper (President), Amy Magee (Vice-President), Lewis Chatham, Sheketta Combs, Tarneshala “Niki” Cowans, Regina Rowe, and Keith Burris will begin the regularly scheduled monthly session at 5:30 pm in the Nathaniel Zeno, Jr. Meeting Room of the Jackson Parish Administrative Building, located at 160 Industrial Drive in Jonesboro.
Along with the standard order of monthly business included on the agenda of approving the minutes from the February meetings, and hearing committee, engineering and management reports, additional agenda items to be considered are:
1. Act on hiring Mr. Zacherik Bishop for the Road Department General Labor position
2. Act on hiring Ms. Brittany Culver for the Solid Waste Operator I position
3. Act on using ITBS for building permits
4. Hear from Mrs. Stacy Faulkner regarding the Animal Shelter and Animal Ordinances
5. Permission to advertise Jackson Parish 2025 Road Program
Also it is expected to be announced that Allen, Green, & Williamson, LLP will be onsite April 7, 2025, to start working on the Audit for the year ending December 2024.
