PLAY BALL!
With twelve games being played on Thursday and Friday at the Jackson Parish Recreation Department Sports Complex the 2025 JPRD spring baseball and softball leagues opened their season. A total of 417 boys and girls aged 3-13 will compete in eight age-based leagues broken down as follows:
Age 3-4 League (boys and girls)
Age 5-6 League (boys and girls)
Age 7-8 Boys Baseball
Age 7-8 Girls Softball
Age 9-10 Boys Baseball
Age 9-10 Girls Softball
Age 11-13 Boys Baseball
Age 11-13 Girls Softball
The season schedule that will run from April 17 – May 29 will feature age-grouped leagues 3-4 and 9-10 playing each Monday and Thursday, with the 5-6 and 7-8 year olds playing each Tuesday and Friday. The boys and girls in the 11-13 age groups will play games on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week. As a continuing special addition to the 7-8, 9-10, and 11-13 girls and boys leagues, contests will be played each week against teams from Castor as well.
