Jackson Parish voters will have the opportunity to make a choice on whether or not to renew a pair of sales tax options that are critical in the Jackson Parish Police Jury to continue to provide the road and solid waste services throughout the parish that residents are accustomed to.

Voters are being asked to make their choice on the following two propositions. 

Jackson Parish Police Jury President Todd Culpepper reminds voters that this is NOT a property tax that is being asked to renew but a sales tax that is collected on goods purchased. 

“I would like to thank the citizens of Jackson Parish for their past support and ask for their continued support of the renewal of our parish sales tax,” said Culpepper, who also reminds that there is no increase in the tax involved.

“There is NO increase involved but only a renewal of what has been in place,” continued Culpepper.
