Tick-Tock
We tend to build trust in someone by the way of increments. It takes time to build trust and that confidence is tested by time. Many have rushed into relationships only to discover trust has been misplaced and abused.
As a result people become cautious and distance themselves from future relationships. They could have avoided heartache if they had only taken more time to really know someone.
Tick-tock, tick-tock…
Do you remember the sound of wind up clocks? My grandparents had many mantle type clocks and the eerie sound of ticking made it hard for me to sleep at night. Clocks tell us the time; they don’t control it. God does.
Why delay? You can always trust Him; the LORD established time.
There was no tick-tock. God spoke.
“God called the light “day,” and the darkness He called “night.” And there was evening and there was morning, one day (Genesis 1:5 NASB).”
The LORD is trustworthy. The more time you take getting to know Him, the more you trust Him.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB).”
Tick-tock…
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8 NASB).”
