Mitchell, Fortenberry and Creech win 3-Man “Shamble” Tourney at JP Golf Course

3-Man Shamble Champions!
(l-r) Ridge Creech, Houston Fortenberry, Peyton Mitchell

The Jackson Parish Golf Course held their 3-Man “Shamble” tournament on Saturday, with Ridge Creech and Houston Fortenberry from Monroe, along with JPGC member Peyton Mitchell, shooting an impressive 17-under par round of 127 to take a five-stroke victory and garner the $1,200.00 first prize.

For those not familiar with a “Shamble” format, that is where each player tees off, and the team selects the best drive. Then, each team member plays their own ball from that position for their second shot, and plays the rest of the hole individually, with the two best scores on each hole counting towards the team’s overall score.

Earning $600.00 for their second-place finish in the championship round were Peyton Underwood, Zach Antley, and Rick Salter, with Brian Nugent, Steve Nugent and Drew Hozmeier coming in third and taking home the $300.00 team prize.

Also winning $1,200.00 was the team of John Odom Dale Cagnoleti and Jeff Laudenheimer who won the first flight on a score card playoff over second place finishers Ram Foster, Larry Foster and Todd Gentry and the three-man team of Johnny Cox, Todd Matney and Scooter Perot, all who shot a 144 over the Jackson Parish Golf Course layout.
