Ciara Gray featured on KNOE-TV as Aaron’s Ace Award Recipient

The secret is out! If it ever was a secret in the first place.

After all it is kind of hard to say something is a secret when everyone who follows girls high school track and field has already either witnessed or saw the results that Ciara Gray of Jonesboro-Hodge High School posted at the 2025 Class A State Track and Field Championships when she won four gold medals to lift the Lady Tigers to the first ever state title in girls competition at the school.

While there may have been a few residents in northeast Louisiana who hadn’t heard of Gray and her exploits that most likely changed on May 28th when the sensational four event specialist was honored to be selected as an Aaron’s Ace, the coveted award given weekly to a top area athlete by KNOE-TV, Channel 8, award winning sportscastor Aaron Dietrich.

Visiting the campus of Jonesboro-Hodge High School, Dietrich interviewed not only Gray but also JHHS head track coach Terrance Blankenship, where they discussed the importance Gray is to the program, her future plans, and what it means to have JHHS win the first-ever state championship in girls athletics.
