When Gracie Bourgeois looked up at the camera while sitting in the saddle atop her trusty steed, she couldn’t help but break out in one of those “ear-to-ear” smiles. And why not?

You would too if, after months and months of practice, you had accomplished a goal you had been dreaming of by turning in a perfect performance at one of the most prestigious horse show competitions there is in north Louisiana. 

Bourgeois wowed the judges at the Northwest District 4-H Horse Show on Friday, June 13th to earn the Senior Division Overall High Point Champion in both the Halter and the Performance classes. Next stop, State Horse Show in July!
