Ticklish
Tickle, tickle…
Parents not only goo goo ga ga and make silly faces; they tickle infant’s feet, tummies and under arms. It’s because we like to hear the sweet sound of their laughter. We want our children to be happy and contented.
I’m not too grown up or refined to have spontaneous outbursts of laughter. Give me corny jokes, one-liners from comedians of yesteryear and shared humorous events. Tickle my fancy.
At 76, I want my face to show laugh lines that reveal my age as circles in a cut tree. I remember that one…
It happened when I was a teenager; dropped a bottle of milk, slipped in the spilled milk and fell on our kitchen floor. I remembered something. ‘Don’t cry over spilt milk’ and burst out in laughter.
The LORD makes me happy; He tickles my spirit and gives me the gift of joy.
“I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain in My love [and do not doubt My love for you]. If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing (John 15:9-11 AMP Bible).”
God’s tickles come when least expected!
