
NELAHS Anglers Big Bass Award Winner
The Northeast Louisiana High School Anglers (NELAHSA) tour held their 2024-25 season banquest on Thursday, June 12th with several Jackson Parish prep anglers being recognized.
Earning Big Bass of the Year was Hayden Davis of Quitman High School for his 10.89-pound lunker. Davis and fishing partner, Maddox Duck as well as Hailey Chatham and Ben Ramsey, representing Weston High School, also received recognition for qualifying for the 16th annual High School Fishing National Championships to be held June 24-28 on Grand Lake in Grove, Oklahoma.
Also being honored were Jake Vail and Jaxon Cheatwood of Quitman High School for earning a spot in the Junior World Championships that will take place July 30 – August 1 on Lake Oahe in Pierre, South Dakota.
