Jonesboro Police Department issues warning about vehicle break-ins

As a result of a recent rash of vehicle break-ins that have been reported in surrounding towns, the Jonesboro Police Department is advising all residents not to leave any weapons or valuables in their vehicles.

“Please ensure that all weapons and valuables are properly secured inside your home when leaving your vehicle. A recent increase in vehicle break-ins has been reported in surrounding towns, with stolen weapons being a primary concern. It is believed that these perpetrators are breaking into vehicles during early morning hours to steal weapons and valuables left unattended.
