The Jackson Parish School District, in partnership with Louisiana Delta Community College in Jonesboro, is proud to celebrate a highly successful 2025 Jump Start Summers program!

Seventeen students participated in the Welding Program, committing to seven hours per day for 40 workdays. Through their dedication and hard work, 13 students earned their AWS Welding Certification, college credits, and valuable career experience!

Additional advantages for the students were the $10.00 per hour income they earned along with extra stipends awarded for Perfect Attendance and earning a statewide credential — making this both an educational and rewarding summer.
