Heritage Quilt Guild of Jonesboro Holds Inspired “Show and Tell” Session

Creativity was abound this past Wednesday when the Heritage Quilt Guild of Jonesboro held what is always their most entertaining meeting of the month as the talented ladies displayed their wares during “Show and Tell” time.

Each week, the HQG meets at the Jonesboro-Hodge Methodist Church to provide a means for quilters and guild lovers to promote the appreciation and preservation of quilts. The guild is a forum in which the skills of the quilt makers are shared so the art will be handed down to others.

With a focus normally on the making of quilts, this week the ladies exhibited a truly inspired array of many unique stitched items such as handbags, pillows, placemats, throws, and of course, the beautiful quilts that drew “oohs” and “aahs” from the patrons in attendance.

See below for a beautiful display of the time-honored tradition of quilting that is being kept alive and providing an inspiration for future generations.
