The Jackson Parish Library Board of Controls held a pair of Committee meetings on Friday, August 15th in the McBride Room of the Main Branch, located at 614 South Polk Avenue in Jonesboro. 

The dual sessions began at 3:00 pm with Personnel Committee members Judy Cooper (chairperson), Robin Tew, and Carol Massey meeting to discuss and recommend library staffing needs, staffing changes, and pay for bookmobile positions. 

Immediately following Chairperson Paula Essmeier, Ann Standley and Carol Massey of the Building and Finance Committee met to discuss and recommend building projects, 2025 budget amendments, 2026 budget, and changes in payroll based on recommendations of the Personnel Committee.

All Library Board of Controls members were invited to attend the committee meeting. Although what constituted a quorum of the Board may have been present, no action by the Board as a whole was taken.
