JPASD Offers Employees Level One Chaplains Certification Training

In 1998, the Jackson Parish Police Jury created an Ordinance establishing the Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District (JPASD), founded on the premise that no citizen should be denied access to responsive, high-quality emergency care due to a lack of transportation.

Since that time, the dedicated and well-trained staff has become one of the premier ambulance providers in North Louisiana, committed to promoting and enhancing wellness, health, education, and safety in Jackson Parish.

In an effort to not only continue that tremendous level of support but also learn how to better serve Jackson Parish residents, JPASD provided a Chaplain’s Level One Certification training to its employees.

The training, which is designed to equip EMS professionals and community members with essential skills in listening, empathy, prayer, and compassionate support, was made possible through a partnership with the Louisiana Rural Ambulance Alliance (LRAA), and Team Jesus International.

“Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District congratulates the employees who responded to the recent education opportunity of the Chaplain’s Level One Certification training. We thank you for giving of your time to learn how to better serve Jackson Parish residents.”
