
Playtime
School age children spend long hours studying and working on their lessons. The schoolroom is their main place of study but many are not finished when the final bell rings. Their teachers assign additional study as homework.
Children need education but also need the fun and playtime of recess. Well informed elementary school teachers allow their classes regular opportunities for both indoor and outdoor play.
Do you play: are you playing church?
“And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear my words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after covetousness. And, lo thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not (Ezekiel 33:31-32 KJV).”
God doesn’t want us to play church.
He wants us to worship.
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24 KJV).”
