Wagon Train and Death Valley Days …
I watched both back in the day. When given the opportunity, I watch them now. The Death Valley Days episodes are based on true stories and often take me by surprise. Pioneers often traveled in groups of covered wagons while experiencing hunger, thirst, dangerous terrain and severe weather conditions.Their biggest fear was Indian attacks.
Wagon masters went into action.
‘Circle your wagons!’
The travelers were in serious danger; gathering closer together provided a measure of protection.
Christians, we’re in spiritual warfare.
Circle your wagons for defense against the devil and evil spirits. United we stand; divided we fall for Satan’s lies and schemes.
Indians frequently caught Pioneers off guard. Suddenly, sounds of the Indians war cry filled the air. Satan, as accuser and liar makes his presence known. He lies through whispers or shouts of accusation and condemnation. Don’t believe him.
‘You’re worthless. You’re no good’
‘God could never love you.
God will never forgive you!’
Don’t be deceived.
Widen your circle of worship, prayer, Bible study, fellowship and praise. There’s strength and protection in numbers.
“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst (Matthew 18:20 NASB).”
We’re on our way to glory land!
Is that the sound of the cavalry bugle charge?
No; it’s Gabriel’s trumpet!
