Jackson Ables, Shepard Norred top junior anglers at NELAHS season opening event

Jackson Ables (l) and Shepard Norred (r) were the top junior anglers and finished 5th overall at prep tournament on Lake Claiborne

Jackson Ables and Shepard Norred of Quitman High School were the top junior anglers and finished 5th overall out of the 45 teams that competed in the 2025-26 season-opening NELAHS tournament held on Lake Claiborne on Saturday, September 27th. 

Chance Lemoine of Quitman High School, who fished with Tucker Masters, also came home a winner, after his 4.05-pound bass placed in the “Big Bass” contest. The pair finished 4th in junior competition and in 23rd place overall.
