The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the LA 148 Bridge, located approximately 3.0 miles east of LA 34 over a creek east of Eros in Jackson Parish, remains closed for necessary bridge repairs. 

The closure is anticipated to last until Friday, November 21, 2025, weather permitting.

Restrictions/Permits:

Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Alternate Route:

A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
