Quin Carpenter has been named the winner of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Race for Reading coloring contest. The event that was held last month was in conjunction with the Imagination Library state enrollment drive in an attempt to get children in each parish up to the age of 5 years old registered.
Jackson Parish leads the state in enrollment percentage!
Thanks to the undying and dedicated effort spearheaded by team leader Brittany Treadway and members of the Jonesboro State Bank, as of October 21st, Jackson Parish leads the entire state in enrollment percentage of children in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program.
With a 49% mark, Jackson Parish is a full three percentage points ahead of St. Charles Parish (46%) with Winn Parish (45%), Sabine Parish (44%), and East Feliciana Parish (40%) rounding out the top five. Percentage values represent the percentage of children enrolled out of the total eligible population for each parish.
“We’re so close to our first big milestone of having 50% of parish children enrolled,” said Treadway. “If you have a child under 5, register them to receive FREE books every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.”
