The grade school educational experience goes far beyond learning to read and write. When done correctly, it also teaches young people how to deal with personal and emotional situations and crises.
In the continuing effort to prepare students for any contingencies that may arise, by the Jackson Parish School District is proud to participate in the Youth Suicide Prevention Program presented by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) in partnership with Rain Will Bring Flowers.
This important initiative equips students with knowledge, resources, and hope — helping them understand that it’s okay to ask for help and that their lives matter.
Together, the Jackson Parish School District is building awareness, fostering compassion, and supporting the mental health and well-being of all our students.
