Jackson Parish School District shows great increase in performance scoring

The 2025 District Performance Scores have been released by the Louisiana Department of Education with the state showing improvement for the fourth consecutive year and Louisiana students achieving the highest overall score ever registered under the current point system. 

Locally, Jackson Parish School earned a B letter grade while continuing to show growth by increasing scores to a 79.6% average, an increase of 2.2% from the year before. 

“This improvement reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the support of our families and community. Together, we are continuing to move our district forward and strengthen academic achievement for all learners. Thank you for believing in our schools. Great things are happening here!” – JPSD

Added to the historic achievement registered by Quitman High School (see article) Jonesboro-Hodge High School and Weston High School also showed tremendous success with letter grade scores of B.
