The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that, as of Monday, January 19th, the LA 34 Bridge over Dry Creek, south of Chatham in Jackson Parish, has been opened again for through traffic.

On January 12th, the bridge was closed for necessary repairs, resulting in traffic being forced to utilize an alternate route that was designated during the duration of the closure. 

The DOTD reminds motorists to call 511, visit www.511la.org, or download the Louisiana 511 mobile app for information regarding road closures in the state of Louisiana. Out-of-state travelers may call 1-888-ROAD-511 (1-888-762-3511). Motorists may also monitor the LA DOTD website at www.dotd.la.gov, by selecting MyDOTD, or by visiting the DOTD Facebook and Twitter pages.
