The Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office would like to remind property owners that any property taxes not paid on or before February 18, 2026, will be subject to a certified letter charge of
approximately $50.00.

If taxes remain unpaid after this date, certified notices will be mailed in February 2026.

Advertisements of past-due property taxes will then be published on April 1, 2026, and on May 6, 2026, in the Jackson Parish Journal. The tax sale is scheduled for May 13, 2026.

This notice is provided to keep the public informed and to help property owners avoid additional fees or penalties.
