
(JPSO Report) – On Sunday, February 15th, at approximately 6:57 p.m., the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting shots fired from one vehicle at another on U.S. Highway 167 between Quitman and North Hodge.
The Hodge Police Department and the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. Deputies determined that the victim’s vehicle was occupied by two adults and a toddler. The vehicle had been struck multiple times by gunfire. No injuries were reported.
Two adult males were detained from the suspect vehicle. Following the investigation, Jacorey Jenkins was arrested and booked into the Jackson Parish Jail on three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder (La. R.S. 14:27 and 14:30).
