Jackson Parish Police Jury Approves Road Program for 2026 – 28

The Jackson Parish Police Jury met in regular session on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the Nathaniel Zeno, Jr. meeting room, 160 Industrial Drive, Jonesboro, Louisiana. Members present were: Mrs. Tarneshala Cowans, Ms. Regina Rowe, Mr. Lewis Chatham, Mrs. Amy Magee, Mrs. Sheketia Combs, Mr. Todd Culpepper, and Mr. Keith Burris.

Also present were: Mrs. Nia Evans Watkins, Secretary-Treasurer, Mr. Brad Roller, Operations Manager, Mr. Wayne Anderson, Asst. Operations Manager, Mr. Edquado Howard, Solid Waste Supervisor, Mr. Jack Williams, Road Supervisor, Attorney Darrell Avery, and Mr. Paul Riley, Parish Engineer.

During the session, jury members approved the Jackson Parish 3-year road program for the years 2026-2028, and the annual Road Capital improvements for 2027, 2028, and 2029. In addition, the 2026 Maintenance Program was also approved. 

During management reports, it was noted by Jack Williams, Road Supervisor, that $17,175.48 had been spent on emergency callouts/off-schedule work. Final action included the acceptance of quotes for the ACT 461 funds for solid waste and the approval to sign the Community Water Enrichment Fund (CWEF) Resolution.
