Duties:
• Maintain the bookmobile by daily inspection to ensure the vehicle is in good working order; check tires, fuel, oil, generator, etc., and report any problems to the supervisor; keep the inside of the vehicle clean and tidy.
• Maintain organized records of bookmobile maintenance and inspections.
• Schedule regular maintenance, and/or repair and cleaning of the outside as needed.
• Drive the Bookmobile to scheduled stops, appointments, maintenance/repair sites, special events, etc.
• Plan, prep, and facilitate Bookmobile and Outreach programs.
• Assist with in-house circulation and reference duties when needed.
• Assist with Summer Reading and other Programming planning, coordinate with Supervisors, Youth Librarians, and Programming Librarians.
• Supervise and train staff as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
This position will cross-train with other positions as deemed necessary by management.
Requirements:
• 18 yrs. of age or older.
• Maintain a Chauffeur’s License; able and willing to drive bookmobile.
• Successful completion of a two-month probationary period.
• Able to repeatedly lift 15-25 lbs.
• Be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Jackson Parish Police Jury Meeting Minutes
February 9, 2026
The Jackson Parish Police Jury met in regular session on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the Nathaniel Zeno, Jr. meeting room, 160 Industrial Drive, Jonesboro, Louisiana. Members Present: Mrs. Tarneshala Cowans, Ms. Regina Rowe, Mr. Lewis Chatham, Mrs. Amy Magee, Mrs. Sheketia Combs, Mr. Todd Culpepper, and Mr. Keith Burris.
Absent: None.
Also present: Mrs. Nia Evans Watkins, Secretary-Treasurer, Mr. Brad Roller, Operations Manager, Mr. Wayne Anderson, Asst. Operations Manager, Mr. Edquado Howard, Solid Waste Supervisor, Mr. Jack Williams, Road Supervisor, Attorney Darrell Avery and Mr. Paul Riley, Parish Engineer.
The President, Mr. Todd Culpepper, called the meeting to order. Ms. Rowe gave the invocation and Mrs. Cowans led the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
The President opened the floor for public comments. There were no public comments.
The President moved to the approval of minutes.
Motion- Mrs. Magee, seconded by Mr. Burris to adopt the minutes of the January 12, 2026, Police Jury Meeting, February 3, 2026, Special Called Meeting, monthly purchase orders, and the payment of all bills. Motion carried.
The President called for approval of committee reports.
Motion- Ms. Rowe, seconded by Mrs. Cowans to adopt the minutes of the January 20, 2026, Road Committee Meeting. Motion carried.
Motion- Mr. Burris, seconded by Mrs. Combs to approve the Jackson Parish 3-year road program for years 2026-2028. Motion carried.
Motion- Mrs. Magee, seconded by Mr. Burris to approve the Jackson Parish Police Jury’s annual Road Capital improvements for 2027, 2028, and 2029. Motion carried.
Motion- Mrs. Magee, seconded by Ms. Rowe to approve the Jackson Parish 2026 Maintenance Program. Motion carried.
Motion- Mr. Burris, seconded by Ms. Rowe to adopt the minutes of the January 29, 2026, Finance Committee Meeting. Motion carried.
The President called for monthly management reports.
Mr. Brad Roller, Operations Manager, gave the January/February 2026 Operations Manager Report.
Mr. Jack Williams, Road Supervisor, presented the January 2026 Road Report noting that $17,175.48 had been spent on emergency callouts/off-schedule work.
Motion- Ms. Rowe seconded by Mrs. Cowans to accept the January 2026 emergency/off-schedule reports. Motion carried.
Mr. Edquado Howard, Solid Waste Supervisor, presented the January 2026 Solid Waste Report.
The President moved to Other Business.
Mr. Paul Riley presented the Engineering Report.
Motion- Mr. Burris, seconded by Ms. Rowe to accept and approve the quotes for the ACT 461 funds for solid waste. Motion carried.
Motion- Mrs. Magee, seconded by Mr. Burris to approve signing the CWEF Resolution. Motion carried.
There was no action taken on agenda item #13.

WARD TWO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 10, 2026
The Ward Two Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners met in regular session on February 10th, 2026 at 7:30 pm at the District Office.
By Roll Call members present were Ricky Cash, Bill Wheelis and Charles Hopkins.
Absent: George Gryder & Rel Shaw.
Meeting called to order by Chairman Charles Hopkins, followed by invocation by Chief Leonard.
Chairman Hopkins called for public & Board comments, additions or deletions.
Addition of Executive session was added to New Business. Chairman Hopkins called for a motion to proceed into Business. Motion Ricky Cash. Second Bill Wheelis. 3 Yea 0 Nay motion carried.
Minutes were read of January 13th, 2026, monthly meeting.
Mr. Hopkins entertained a motion to accept the minutes as presented with 2 Corrections/0 deletions/ 0 addition and move into Old Business. Motion Ricky, Second Bill Wheelis. 3 Yea 0 Nay Motion Carried.
In the order of Old Business: Chief Leonard delivered the January Fire Chiefs report.
It is time for annual uniform purchases.
Rescue 2 will be taken to Consolidated Trucking for repair to air leak under dash.
After recent ice storm damage, the need for a battery operated pole saw was discussed.
Chief discussed generator and heating concerns for the stations in preparation for the next storm.
Door seals on most bay doors need to be replaced, which can be handled in house.
Chief will be seeking an electrician to wire the stations for future power outages.
The firm Foley & Judell have agreed to do packet to get Millage on the ballot for November voting. Paperwork has been completed and David Hartt will be confirming soon.
Training for February had firemen attend a Haz-Mat Class in Jonesboro.
Ward 2 responded to 0 Structure Fire, 2 Grass Fire, 2 MVA, 9 Tree calls (some not recorded due to storm), 0 Medical and 4 Other.
Fuel log reports 166 gallons were used during month of December, with 295 gallons on hand February 1st, 2026. Purchase Agent report for January 2026 was presented.
Motion entertained by Chairman Hopkins to accept reports as presented and proceed into New Business. Motion Ricky Cash. Second Bill Wheelis. 3 Yea 0 Nay Motion Carried.
In the order of New Business, Financial Report for m/e January 31st, 2026 was reviewed and Presentation of Bills was made. Chairman Hopkins entertained a motion to accept Financial Report and Presentation of Bills as presented. Motion Bill Wheelis. Second Ricky Cash. 3 Yea 0 Nay. Motion carried. Chairman Hopkins entertained a motion to exit into Executive Session. Motion Ricky Cash. Second Bill Wheelis. 3 Yea 0 Nay Motion Carried.
