The girls’ track team from Jonesboro-Hodge High School and the boys’ squad from Quitman High School begin defense of their state championships won last spring as the 2026 LHSAA outdoor track season gets underway on Wednesday, March 6th. 

The defending Class 2A state champion Lady Tigers and the boys team will run in the Reservation Relays in Tioga, LA, while 2025 Class B boys state champion Quitman and the Lady Wolverines squad will compete in the OCS Relays on the campus of Ouachita Christian School in Monroe. Both meets are scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm with field events. 

The two Jackson Parish schools not only feature state-championship-winning teams from last year but also two of the state’s premier individual track stars: Ciara Gray from Jonesboro-Hodge and Nathan Harvey of Quitman, who each won four gold medals at the 2025 LHSAA state meet.
